Over 2m tonnes of cereals harvested in Belarus
MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Over 2.049 million tonnes of cereals including rapeseed has been harvested in Belarus, the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.
As of 30 July, cereals and leguminous crops (excluding corn, buckwheat, and millet) were harvested from 395,400 hectares, which is 20% of the target area. Some 1.422 million tonnes of grain was produced, with the average yield at 36 centners per hectare.
Winter rapeseed for grain was gathered in from 245,000 hectares (73.6% of the target area), with 627,100 tonnes produced and the average yield at 25.6 centners per hectare.
Flax was pulled from 22,400 hectares, which is 51.3% of the area under this crop. Straw was collected from 240,200 hectares after cereals and leguminous crops were harvested.
