Equatorial Guinea interested in buying Belarusian vehicles, machines, equipment
MINSK, 7 September (BelTA) – As part of an official visit to Belarus the Equatorial Guinea delegation went to Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) and saw a joint exhibition featuring products made by enterprises run by the Belarusian Industry Ministry, BelTA has learned.
The exhibition featured products made by MTZ, MAZ, Gomselmash, Lidselmash, MMZ, Amkodor, BelAZ, and other enterprises.
Members of the delegation were made familiar with the products on display. They were accompanied by Belarusian Industry Minister Aleksandr Rogozhnik and directors of a number of Belarusian industrial enterprises.
Equatorial Guinea Minister of Foreign Affairs Simeon Oyono Esono Angue stressed: “The head of our delegation is visiting Belarus in order to enhance the ties of cooperation and friendship between our countries.”
In his words, the exhibition is impressive as far as its volume and the models on display are concerned. “In the near future within the framework of the forthcoming session of the joint commission on trade and economic cooperation we will bring technical specialists, who will discuss the acquisition of Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment. We hope that we will be able to ship them to our country. It is good experience, which will help diversify our economy, including in agriculture,” he stated.
Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo is in the Republic of Belarus on an official visit. Negotiations with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko were the central component of the visit. The negotiations involved smaller delegations and larger delegations and took place in the Palace of Independence. A package of bilateral documents was signed as a result of the negotiations. The documents are aimed at advancing the relations in a broad range of avenues starting with economy and ending with humanitarian affairs.
